Jaakko Seikkula, mentor of the treatment system “Open Dialogue”, integrates Consultative Commission of Casa de Alba
Jaakko Seikkula, Professor of Psychotherapy, Department of Psychology, University of Jyväskylä, Finland, is the new reinforcement of the Consultative Committee of Fundação Romão de Sousa.
The Finnish professor is at the forefront of the Open Dialogue experience, an approach that drastically reduced the diagnoses of schizophrenia in Lapland (Finland).
Also named is Rex Haigh, Honorary Professor of Therapeutic Environments and Relational Health at the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
The professionals were invited because of their knowledge and skills in the area of mental health, contributing to the work developed at Fundação Romão de Sousa.
Célia Sales, a university professor and researcher at the University of Porto, and Isaura Neto, a psychiatrist and President of the Portuguese Society of Group Analytics and Analytical Psychotherapy, are in the commission.
